When Lakshman was lying unconscious and Lord Rama told Hanumanji to bring herb Sanjivni which was natural herb as well as healing herb from the mountain. Hanumanji
could not locate the particular medicinal herb. So he decided to carry the whole mountain Chitrakoot to the War field. This proves that the herbal remedies were used in ancient India . Herbs are used widely in India as alternative medicine .
